Privacy

CHEER is a private, invited-party scoreboard organized by Darren Biel. It helps hosts run games and lets participants follow the standings permitted by their hosts.

Information we use

Google sign-in supplies a stable account identifier and basic profile information. We store your Google account identifier, name, and email address to identify your account and keep it connected across parties. We do not request access to Gmail, contacts, or Drive.

The app also stores event membership and participation, display names, team assignments, game results, awards, score corrections, host activity, and profile choices. You can choose an illustrated avatar, use initials, or upload a profile photo. A photo is optional.

Session cookies keep you signed in. Some display preferences are stored in your browser. Google and Cloudflare process technical connection information to provide sign-in, hosting, and security. The site may load fonts from Google Fonts.

Who can see it

Hosts administer their own events, including rosters, teams, scores, and when standings are revealed. Members of an event can see its roster, party profiles and photos, and the standings their hosts make available. Profiles and permitted standings may also appear on the party’s TV dashboard. Uploaded photos are not served through a public bucket URL.

The organizer can access app records to operate the service, provide support, correct information, and maintain private backups. We do not sell this information or use it for advertising.

Storage and retention

Account and event records are stored in Cloudflare D1, and uploaded photos are stored in a private Cloudflare R2 bucket. The organizer also keeps private backups. Party records and accounts may be retained across multiple years so previous results remain available and the app can be reused.

Replacing or removing an uploaded photo removes the previous active image. Copies in private backups may remain after a change or removal from the active app until those backups are deleted or replaced.

Corrections and removal

Contact darren.biel@gmail.com to request a correction or removal of account, event, or photo information. Tell the organizer which party and information your request concerns. If your request includes backup copies, mention that so the organizer can explain any copies still retained.

Other services

Google provides sign-in and Cloudflare provides hosting, storage, and security. Their services also operate under their own privacy policies. This notice describes the party app’s use of your information.
